The third coin in the Myths and Legends Robin Hood series. The Royal Mint have now advanced onto ‘Little John’.

Little John is one of Robin Hood’s ‘Merry Men’ and, along with Will Scarlett, Friar Tuck, Much and Maid Marian, they were said to have resided together in Sherwood Forest, near Nottingham. Little John was Robin Hood’s second in command.

Contrary to his name, Little John is thought to have been a giant man, with a warrior like physique.

The Royal Mint additionally produced Little John coins in 1oz Silver and as part of the Silver Myths and Legends three coin set.
