The 2022 Lion of England 1oz Gold coin is the first bulLion release in the new Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint. Like the Queen’s Beasts series, the collection will feature 10 ‘Beasts’, this time consisting of statues that line the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court.

Along the Moat Bridge of Hampton Court Palace, ten Royal Beasts sculpted in stone represent the union and royal ancestry of Henry VIII and Jane Seymour. These distinguished guardians have inspired a new bullion series, and the first coin in The Royal Tudor Beasts collection features the Lion of England.
