The 2026 Queen’s Lion 1oz Gold Coin is the eighth bullion release in The Royal Mint’s Royal Tudor Beasts Collection. This prestigious series is inspired by the ten heraldic beasts that stand along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, symbolising the royal lineage of the British monarchy.

The reverse of the coin, designed by David Lawrence, features the Queen’s Lion, a powerful emblem of monarchy, strength, and authority. The Lion is shown holding a shield bearing the badge of Jane Seymour, the third wife of King Henry VIII. Alongside its striking design, the coin incorporates advanced security features to aid authentication and protect against counterfeiting. The obverse displays the official portrait of His Majesty King Charles III, created by Martin Jennings.
